Morning,

How often do I need to go and start the engine? How long for?

Would be grateful for some advice please

Noise help

Hi

Got a dci model about 3 months back and we have noticed a 'noise'.

Could well be the norm and have been there since day one but any help or advice would be great!!!

Noise occurs when key is put into ignition and turned (not engine on though). It is a continuos beep and it comes from engine. Stops when engine is on and when car is stopped it continues for maybe 5 seconds then stops completely.

Any info or advice on it would be greatly appreciated

Cheers!!!

I have been monitoring the LA information releases on the Nismo RS and but there appears to be very little if any comments in the UK Forum. The Juke RS has been announced in LA along with the Nismo GTR & Sentra Nismo Concept cars, so hopefully the attached information will be of interest to you UK members, there is a lot of technical info' / Photos / Video of these new interesting Nissan Cars - Dave

No surprises for guessing I live in a rural location, a week ago I hit a massively muddy puddle which instantly coated the entire car (had to stop and wipe the screen clear as I couldn't see through it)

Wing Mirrors

Hi all I have a few queries:

1) does anyone know the best place to get a good priced electric wingmirror for my Juke

2) can the wing mirror covers be changed? E.g. If I buy a red wingmirror can I swap my white cover with the red to give a working white wing mirror?

3) are these easy to change or do I need specialist tools

Thanks in advance

The owner's manual states that you should pull the air duct upwards to remove it, before being able to access the air filter. Is there a knack to it, or can you safely give it a good tug? I don't want to break anything.

As the club stickers no longer seem to be available - does anyone know if they are copyright material ?? Reason I ask is that I have the chance of getting some made up for sale on the Forum but obviously want to know that its OK to do so first. Can anyone remember how much they were - these are the ones I'm referring to :- http://www.jukeownersclub.co.uk/foru...-stickers.html

CHRIS KNOTT now quoting M, L, OL and SK1-12 postcodes

UPDATE: CHRIS KNOTT now quoting M, L, OL and SK1-12 postcodes

If you live in any of the above postcodes you'll know that it used to be difficult for us to quote you under the club insurance scheme.

The good news is that insurers have agreed to open up these postcodes to us.

Some of the very risky areas are still not available to us (in reality there aren't many of those) but we can quote competitively on the rest. There are sometimes overnight parking requirements attached to the quotes but this is a big step forward in the right direction.

Regardless of your postcode area, if you've not yet given the Chris Knott Insurance club scheme a try please do so or if you have tried us in the past and we couldn't help you - chances are that we'll be able to help now.

Please call FREE on 0800 917 2274 and put us to the test.

Here's what Kris, a member of STdriveRS forum, said recently:
"Guys, definitely worth calling Chris Knott, my renewal with Esure was £273, which I was extremely pleased with. Contacted both Chris Knott and [a competitor] because of this forum. Unfortunately [the competitor] said they couldn't beat it, and when CKI called me back I wasn't expecting them to either and even told the lovely lady on the phone this, but we still went through all the details. Then I waited 2 minutes whilst she got me the price, when she came back on I was expecting "sorry, but...", but no, was pleasantly surprised to hear "we can do it for £240". Absolutely stoked, and when my wife's insurance is up for renewal in the next few weeks CKI will be my first port of call too." Krisby, STdriveRS.co.uk

Disable iPhone autoplay?

$

Evening all,

I've joined up with a question about my wife's Juke. Is it possible to disable the way our iPhones start playing every time we plug them in. 90% of the time we plug them in is only to charge them. It's becoming rather annoying.

The Juke is 2012 Acenta with Premium Pack.

Many thanks in advance.

daisy has a cough

Woke Daisy up to go to work today, she was sleeping peacefully in the garage
she coughed as I started her engine then threw the engine management light on
I turned her off then back on again [ well it works on pcs! ]
however the light stayed on.

so I drove her straight to my dealer, she felt fine.
I handed her over to the service guy who took a look and agreed it was the engine management light.

when I went to pick her up, I was told it was a coil pack,
they had had cleared the light and all is now ok,
however it may happen again and I am to let them know if it does

I asked why don't you just change the coil pack?
he replied we cant as it was only an orange warning light!
if it happens again or throws a red light then he can order the coil pack for me!

I am not very happy as I know a coil pack going could be hard to start and run rotten.

he said he had never come across a coil pack going on a juke before,
unless anyone on here knows different

CHRIS KNOTT INSURANCE - a discount is not just for Christmas

This news just in from our Motor Manager, Paul…

One of our major insurer partners has offered us an extra 15% off their rates. They’ve seen how much better car club/forum members generally are as drivers and they want to attract you. We’ve said it before but if price has been the only barrier to you switching to the Chris Knott scheme, you need to pick up the phone and let us remove that barrier.

At the moment we’re signing up about 50% of the quotes offered to car club/forum members but with this extra discount we’ll be able to beat even more members’ best quotes.

You’ll remember the great success of Chris Knott’s 2012 END OF YEAR SALE? – well this could outstrip even that. This is a DISCOUNT IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS but seeing as there’s NO END DATE in sight, it will even benefit those whose renewal isn’t due for a few months.

Here’s what car club members have said about Chris Knott in the last couple of weeks (genuine quotes with usernames supplied) and the extra discount wasn’t even in play then:

”Purchased an MPS 6 yesterday and Chris Knott Insurance was by far the cheapest on both cars (MPS was £540 - 23 years old, 2 years no claims) and the service was the best from any company ever. Keep up the good work!” MeetKane, MPS Owners Club

“Chris Knott Insurance got it well below what the competition offered!” TurboPete, Mercedes-Benz Owners Association

”Just signed up with Chris Knott. Great price £250 fully comp on a 2009 GP Abarth, 3 points, 40 years old, 5 years NCB protected, legal, key cover, £250 excess. Happy chappy!” Martwho, Fiat Forum

”I don't normally find such good deals, so I don't normally shout about them, but Chris Knott Insurance gave me a quote which was more than £300 BETTER than the first one I had elsewhere, and nearly £40 better than anyone else could do. Top stuff.” MarkBT, Briskoda.net

”Just insured my Grand with Chris Knott. Helpful, non-pushy sales staff and it saved me almost £200. A very happy customer :)” Paule, C-Max Owners Club

”Talk about quoting me a price that nearly made me faint - doubt I will be doing anymore research. Expect a call after payday :D. I spoke to a guy called Paul - finally an insurance guy that knows what he’s talking about.” Sternritter, MPS Owners Club

As long as you meet our usual criteria, we expect many more members to have this kind of experience with Chris Knott Insurance. Ask us to quote today.

Call Chris Knott Insurance on 0800 917 2274 (or 01424 200477) – it’s our job to save you as much as we can on your car insurance while giving you good quality cover and sound insurance advice.
